Sebastián is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Columbia University, an NBER Faculty Research Fellow, and an IZA Research Affiliate. He is an applied microeconomist whose work studies industrial organization and structural questions in education markets, with a focus on Latin America. He completed his PhD at Stanford in 2022.
