The project
Make guidance a sustained learning process
DFM is organized as a five-week school-based program rather than a one-time information message. Students work through personalized content about education, future opportunities and the practical steps that connect them.
The Chilean implementation works with publicly funded schools and the Ministry of Education. The evaluation is designed around a treatment and comparison group, with administrative follow-up used to study later educational choices.
What the work involves
Explore education's value
Make information about study pathways and their benefits accessible within the school day.
Personalize guidance
Adapt the digital experience and virtual counseling to the student and local education context.
Follow later decisions
Connect program delivery with rigorous evaluation and subsequent educational trajectories.
Research & implementation
Implementation with evaluation in progress
The public record describes a 2021-start implementation and an evaluation with approximately 25,000 students in each arm. Endline analysis is ongoing. Program engagement figures across Chile and Colombia are distinct from final causal impact estimates.
