Jim is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia, having previously been at the University of Delaware. He earned his PhD in Economics from MIT in
- He is a Faculty Research Fellow at NBER, J-PAL, and CEPR. His research uses field experiments to study microeconomic questions in development, particularly in education and health. He and Christopher partnered on the multi-year AVE project in the Dominican Republic — subjective beliefs and dynamic human capital investment — and on the perceived-own-ability information provision experiment in the same setting.
