The project
A clearer starting point for school search
Families need a view of the schools available to them before an application list can be meaningful. MIME brings information about location, results, costs and admission possibilities into a searchable environment.
The project is built with Chile's Ministry of Education on a shared explorer platform. Maintaining the underlying school information is part of the work, so the interface can remain useful across admission cycles.
What the work involves
Find nearby options
Organize school information geographically so families can explore the choices around them.
Compare on shared dimensions
Present information consistently across schools to support a more informed comparison.
Keep information current
Maintain the data pipelines that connect public records to the explorer between admission cycles.
Research & implementation
Information infrastructure for recurring decisions
The ConsiliumBots portfolio dates this work from 2021. The school and career explorers are maintained as information infrastructure, connecting administrative sources with recurring family decisions. Related school-choice experiments are linked below.
