The project
Recovering time for instructional leadership
Tiempo para Liderar con IA is a proposed Chilean field experiment informed by the World Bank's El Director LIBRE method. It focuses on the practical use of AI by school principals and management teams.
The research asks whether training and light coaching change adoption, responsible use and the allocation of time within schools. Christopher Neilson participates as a co-investigator.
What the work involves
Practical training
Help school leaders apply AI tools to recurring administrative tasks in their own working context.
Responsible use
Put safe use, professional judgment and adoption barriers at the center of the training.
Measure what changes
Study how leaders use recovered time and whether changes extend to teachers.
Research & implementation
Proposed randomized evaluation
The public project record describes a proposed study of about 100 Santiago-area schools. This is the study design and intended scope; impact estimates are not yet reported.
