The project
A shared journey starts with coordination
CiemPiés helps nearby families organize a walking school bus, with children traveling together under adult supervision. It brings route planning, participation and parent-volunteer coordination into one place.
The platform connects families, route leaders and school administrators. ConsiliumBots lists Tether Education as a platform partner and an initial school pilot in Santiago.
What the work involves
Plan the route
Group nearby families and organize walking routes and meeting points around the school community.
Share the responsibility
Coordinate which adults walk, lead or provide backup, and when each family participates.
Follow the journey
Support route visibility, participation tracking and alerts during the daily walk.
Research & implementation
A pilot built around the school community
The public project record describes a 2026 pilot. The platform supports bilingual use and multiple schools; wider participation and research findings will be documented as the work develops.
