Winnie van Dijk is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Yale University, working in public, labor, and urban economics with a focus on housing policy and the causes and consequences of poverty. She earned her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago (2019)-after earlier studies at the London School of Economics and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam-and was previously an Assistant Professor at Harvard University and a Saieh Family Research Fellow at the Becker Friedman Institute; she is a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. She is a coauthor with Christopher Neilson on ‘Centralized School Choice with Unequal Outside Options’ (with Mohammad Akbarpour, Adam Kapor, and Seth Zimmerman), published in the Journal of Public Economics (2022).
