Tim Ederer is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. He works in labor economics and econometrics, with a focus on two-sided matching, teacher labor markets, and wage setting. He earned his PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics and was a Saieh Family Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago’s Becker Friedman Institute (2023-2024). He coauthored ‘Teacher Compensation and Structural Inequality: Evidence from Centralized Teacher School Choice in Peru’ with Christopher Neilson (with Matteo Bobba, Gianmarco Leon-Ciliotta, and Marco Nieddu).
