Mette Gortz is a professor at the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, and an applied microeconomist working in health, labour, and family economics who earned her PhD from the same department in 2006. She is affiliated with the Centre for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI), serves as deputy head of the Centre for Health Economics and Policy (CHEP), and is a member of the Danish Economic Council. She is a coauthor with Christopher Neilson on ‘Queuing for Segregation: Evidence from Access to Childcare in Copenhagen.’
