Martti is an Assistant Professor at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, and a research affiliate at CESifo and IZA. His research is in labor economics with a focus on the economics of crime — including the impacts of guaranteed basic income on crime, income-based fines (forthcoming at the Review of Economic Studies), and the spillover effects of financial-crime sentencing. He visited Princeton during his PhD and is a coauthor with Christopher on the cross-continent STEM major gender gap study.
