Luana Marotta is an Education Senior Associate at the Inter-American
Development Bank, where she leads education projects in Ecuador and
Bolivia. She holds a PhD in Sociology of Education and International
Comparative Education from Stanford University and researches teacher
labor markets, teacher allocation, and education quality in Latin
America. She coauthored ‘The Potential of Smart Matching Platforms in
Teacher Assignment: The Case of Ecuador’ with Christopher Neilson.
