About

Ignacio Rios is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He completed his PhD in Operations, Information & Technology and an MA in Economics at Stanford University, following undergraduate and master’s studies in industrial engineering and operations management at the University of Chile. His research is in behavioral market design and large-scale matching markets — including school choice and centralized college admissions — and has helped inform national admissions policy in Chile. He and Christopher are coauthors on the Application Mistakes paper, conditionally accepted at the JPE.
