About
Carolina is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University (since Fall 2024). She earned her PhD in Economics at Georgetown in 2023, with Christopher on her committee, then was a postdoc at the Development Innovation Lab at the University of Chicago for a year before joining Columbia. Her research focuses on educational and social mobility and the design of policies that improve students’ well-being, drawing on economic theory to inform empirical analysis in developing-country contexts.
